WelcomeWelcome to Beyond compasses.The Geometry of curves, an exhibition which has been staged in major Italian cities many times, attracting over 350,000 visitors. During the visit, we'll get to know a considerable number of curves - from the simplest ones, such as the straight line and the circumference, to the most complex and surprising. We'll also discover their most important mathematical properties, in particular those determining their applications to science and technology, and even everyday life.Before we start, relax. You don't have to learn any formulae, or solve any problems. Together, we'll discover how to understand the ideas and methods of mathematics in a painless - and hopefully even entertaining - manner.
